I was going to stay after school for tennis, but I didn't want to go to the match because I was burned out from AP, so my coach let me go home. But I had missed the bus and my mom was in Cherry Hill with my grandmom, so I had to walk home. On the way, I stopped at Wawa and got a milkshake. Continuing, I got past the next intersection, then Nargish saw me walking and pulled over and gave me a ride the rest of the way home. It's cool having friends that can drive. :D |

| Valentine's Day Part 1 |
[Feb. 10th, 2007|01:36 am] |
Kirsten couldn't wait to celebrate Valentine's Day, so I opened the package she sent me on Thursday. Click! She made a bear for me. I love it! Also enclosed were a few wallet-sized portraits of her <3 (my wallet's too dirty for me to trust putting them in D: ) and a musical card. And incase you couldn't tell from the pictures, I opened it all on webcam (not as good as being in person, but still... :/ ). This was the best Valentine's Day I've had.
(Look for "Valentine's Day Part 2" around February 14, when Adam spends the entry wishing he had put more effort into doing something better for Kirsten.) |

| Junior Prom (It's late, but whatever) |
[Jan. 24th, 2007|08:34 pm] |
Well, we met at Nick's house first. Then we headed to Venice Plaza for the dance. It was a really nice place (chandelier, etc.). I was really social for some reason and just floating from table to table: getting some food, eating, moving on...
So then they started encouraging people to dance. They played a slow song first, "for all the couples" about 6 other people and I all made a huge, swaying ring for the song. And then they started playing crappy rap, pop, etc. and I listened to Rob complain about how horrible a time he was having for a while. (he got better) Then they called "Last call for pictures and food" and Alexa and I went and had our picture taken. (My mom told me that she wanted me to get a picture; she didn't care who it was with, except Mike)
So they finally got a streak of good dance/rave musing going; upbeat, techno-y, no vulgar lyrics, and we broke out the glowsticks Mike brings to every dance and started messing around, pseudo-raving with them.
They played a slow song again and Rob was like "how about that dance you promised" and I was like "um... okay..." so we put our hands on each other and I immediately cringed. I finally got enough resistance built up to dance with him about 10 seconds before the song ended. Then they played another and Mike asked about the waltz I promised him. Already saturated with gayness, I waltzed with him for like half a song, with the vice principal coming over and going "One two three one two three one two three," messing around with us. Then I declared it far too awkward and sat down.
When another slow song came on, I decided I needed to wash the gay off myself. I walked over to where Alex and Alexa were sitting and stood there, too afraid to ask either to dance, until the song ended. Frustrated with myself, I sat down and started having a bad time, envying all the couples and wishing I could be with Kirsten...
That frustratedness lasted for a while, until "Everytime We Touch" by Cascada came on (<3 that song at dances). I didn't really feel like dancing, but I told myself I needed to snap out of it and went and messed around/danced with the glowsticks for like 3 songs straight. Then I went to get a drink and bumped into Rob again. He looked happy and told me I was wall-hanging too much; that I had to get out there and have a good time. I was like "I was! I was out there having a good time! I had glowsticks and everything!"
Then nothing worth noting happened until the end. They said they were playing the last few songs. 3 slow songs. It was my last chance to wash the gay off, so I went and asked Alexa to dance. She said she didn't feel well, that she was really hot. I asked if she was alright and offered to get her a glass of water, but she declined. The second song came on and Alex was coming off of the dance floor when I saw her and asked her to dance. It was nice.
And we left while the third song played and went to a Chinese food restaurant that Chris Lin's parents own. The gave us a bunch of huge platters of free food and it was awesome. |

I wanted a Wii, but this was already an extremely expensive Christmas, and I'm more than happy without it. |

| | Queen - Don't Stop Me Now | ] | Today has been the most awesome day ever! I woke up, hit the snooze button on my alarm clock, thought "Alright, I'm going to go back to sleep and dream about Kirsten." And I did! Then I got to school and Sunkwon told me that I'm going to be paid for fixing his computer. I got a 100 on my honors pre-calc test. Lunch was fun, as usual. History was hilarious. I got a 100 on my AP chemistry test. I saw the new xkcd comic in web design and burst into laughter right there in class. I talked to Nargish and we forgave each other for everything we've done since we broke up. And I have Kirsten's arrival home from school to look forward to.
Don't stop me now I'm having such a good time I'm having a ball Don't stop me now If you wanna have a good time Just give me a call So don't stop me now 'cause I'm having a good time Don't stop me now Yes I'm having a good time I don't wanna stop at all |

Last night, I dreamed that my family was part of some sort of mass migration and a ton of people were making their way to the countryside. We decided to spend the night in this building with a few other families. In a lobby area, I was keeping to myself as I followed the rest of my family around while they got to know the others better. That was until a woman suggested that a nearby girl and I were a couple and quickly, forcefully pushed us together. I pulled myself away from the girl and then saw her face for the first time, as she saw mine. We held eye contact for some time and it felt like nothing else mattered. Then, I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her closer to me. Just as we were about to kiss, I woke up.
The girl in this dream looked somewhat like a cross between the girl who is infatuated with me and the girl who I am infatuated with. |
